These two black puppies are sisters from the same litter and were rescued from the same residential society. In two separate incidents, both were run over by cars and required urgent medical care.
One of the sisters arrived with a severe injury where the bone in her leg had broken into two pieces. She required surgical intervention, and a rod was placed in her leg to stabilise the fracture and support proper healing. With consistent medical supervision, rest, and rehabilitation, her recovery progressed steadily. Today, her leg has healed fully and she is able to walk and move normally again.
Her sister suffered a different injury. Although her leg was not broken completely, she had a significant fracture that required immobilisation. Her leg was placed in a cast and she received careful monitoring and care during her recovery period.
Cases like these highlight the importance of dedicated recovery spaces.
At Heaven for Strays Foundation, we step in during the critical stage between rescue and rehabilitation, ensuring injured animals receive the medical care, time, and attention they need to heal properly.
